Minister Iqbal also mentioned about some of the accomplishments of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and their plans and objectives in the future. Both parties discussed the progress in BARMM.

In line with this, the Worldbank officially renewed their commitment to support and extend their assistance to the transitioning region. They look forward to helping the progressive region of the Bangsamoro
Minister Iqbal and his team showed genuine appreciation to the time and trust given by the Worlbank to their leadership.

WorldBank is known to support programs of activities in Mindanao which empowers community development, peacebuilding and quality education for the society.#

The Minister shared some updates about the establishment of the BARMM government as well as the status of the MBHTE. Secretary Briones reiterated her and the Department's commitment to support the Ministry stating that education is a national concern and that they will not leave BARMM behind. Focal persons will be identified from both sides to establish coordination and collaboration mechanisms in the areas of curriculum, finance, legal, and operations concerns.

The Minister also clarified that these initial steps will be governed by a high-level Intergovernmental Relations Body that will provide the mechanism for coordination.

As a token of appreciation on this milestone step for MBHTE, the Minister handed over copies of the BOL to the Secretary.

Through a Tripartite Meeting between Australia’s Department of Foreign Trade and Affairs (DFAT) in alliance with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) they have committed support to the Ministry of Basic Higher and Technical Education of BARMM.

This support will include improving the monitoring system of the implementation of the School Building Program in the region. This program will help in improving the youth’s access to quality education and learning experience which will include classroom constructions and repair of schools for the region
.
The partnership will also strengthen the technical capability on school facilities data management and allowing to set up coordination mechanism with implementing agencies that will assist the support for the BARMM region.

The DFAT Australia and PBSP continues to give support to the transitioning government of BARMM. They aim in contributing to sustainable development in the society and aiding the core programs of the government in the field of education and more.

The meeting was held at Manila and was attended by the Australian Ambassador Steven Robinsons, Executive Director of PBSP Reynaldo Laguda and the Minister of MBHTE Mohagher Iqbal together with their respective teams.#
