Turkish organization extends scholarships to BARMM

The Yurtdışı Türkler ve Akraba Topluluklar Başkanlığı (YTB) or ‘Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities’ has offered scholarships for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and its people.

The scholarships have been offered to those who are interested to pursue their undergraduate and graduate studies in Turkey in the fields of Engineering, Medicine and Social Sciences.

The YTB made the offer of scholarships in a recent meeting of its officials with Mohagher Iqbal, BARMM Minister of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE).

In the said meeting, they discussed certain issues and possible barriers as regards the educational system and process for the scholarships to be addressed properly.

Some plans were laid down for incoming activities and programs like conducting training and seminars on such subject areas as Good Governance and Modern Laws which include Shari’ah, International, Public, and Criminal Law, among others.

Iqbal said “if all will be settled and finalized regarding this initiative, the Ministry will strengthen and improve the process of information dissemination about the details and information regarding the scholarships to be more accessible to all places in the BARMM especially in the remote areas.”

“The MBHTE continues its effort in providing opportunities for the people of the BARMM to have an accessible and quality education,” Iqbal said.

Representatives of some YTB partners from Ibn Haldun University and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Turkey were also present during the meeting.

YTB OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE BANGSAMORO REGION

The Turkish Organization YTB (Yurtdışı Türkler ve Akraba Topluluklar Başkanlığı) had a meeting with the Minister of Basic, Higher and Technical Education Mohagher Iqbal.

The conversation between the parties centered on the scholarships the organization is willing to offer to the Bangsamoro region and its people to study in Turkey.
The scholarships are available for graduate and undergraduate students mostly in the fields of Engineering, Medicine and Social Sciences.

Barriers and Issues were also mentioned regarding the educational system and process for scholarships in order to be properly addressed.

Plans for future activities and programs were also discussed regarding the training and seminars for Administrative and Law. It will tackle subject areas relating to good governance and Modern Law which encompasses Shariah, International, Public, Criminal Law fields and others.

The Minister added that if all will be settled and finalized regarding this initiative, the ministry will strengthen and improve the process of information dissemination about the details and information regarding the scholarships to be more accessible to all places in the BARMM region especially in the remote areas.

Also in attendance with the YTB are representatives from their partners including Ibn Haldun University and from the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Turkey.

The MBHTE continues its effort in providing opportunities for the people of the Bangsamoro region to have an accessible and qual
